a fighter...

A strong 16 year old friend lost his fight with cancer today. Paris Hall is the strongest kid I have ever met. No more than 6 months ago, he was diagnosed with renal carcinoma. He fought the entire time. Jennifer has been with Paris and his mom! I did get to see him on Thursday. I am happy about that!

The best part? Paris is no longer in pain. His pain these last few weeks has been so great. No child should EVER have to endure what he has. His friends and family will all grieve in their own ways, but hopefully take comfort in knowing that he is with God resting in love.

Jennifer thanked me. At first, I was no sure why. She said helping me deal with the loss of my mom made her stronger for Paris and his mom. Life experiences prepare you for things that you have no idea you are going to encounter in the future!
