homage vs. homage

there was a debate at work today. which pronunciation of homage is the correct one. jennifer said it was hom-idg, brianna said it was oh-mahj. i have heard it both ways. so i was torn myself. after some research on the trusty world wide web, JENNIFER IS RIGHT.

in fact, homage pronounced oh-mahj is a huge pet peeve of many and derives from France. it only needs to be pronounced that way if you are speaking French. ahh, yea..thats NOT gonna happen! lol
