what a pleasant surprise...

a child gave me flowers 2 weeks ago. pretty vase, little purple flowers and lots of greenery. i left them in our kitchen and forgot about them. i came into work this morning and could smell fresh flowers as soon as i came in. i clocked in and went to investigate. my frumpy flowers had blossomed. the greens were actually unopened lillies. they look and smell so pretty.

what a nice way to start out the week. needless to say, i rescued them from the dark kitchen and put them on the shelf in my office for everyone to enjoy them as much as i do.
